California bans AI-driven employment termination without human review
California's SB 947 ('No Robo Bosses Act'), signed by Gov. Newsom on Sept. 30, requires employers to have a person review and approve any AI-driven decision to fire or discipline a worker. Compliance obligations begin soon.
