Uber, Waymo end exclusivity agreement; Waymo driverless rides to compete on third-party platforms
Uber and Waymo agreed to terminate their exclusivity arrangement in Atlanta and Austin. Starting 2028, Waymo's autonomous-vehicle rides will be available on platforms beyond Uber, opening competition among ride-hailing apps for AV dispatch and pricing.
