Court rules Google liable for false statements generated by AI Overviews search feature
A US court has held that Google, as the designer, trainer, operator, and manager of its AI Overviews system, bears legal liability for damages caused by false or misleading AI-generated search summaries. The ruling expands product liability doctrine to generative AI.
